How does a failed Resolution HURT ME & MY FUTURE?

Are you talking about New Year Resolutions,

already knowing you are unlikely to succeed?

TRAINING YOURSELF TO FAIL IS NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY!

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO THINK ABOUT THIS

Your brain doesn’t know you are only 50% or  75%  committed to your pledge, when you say  you are quitting/starting (fill with your specific goal)  for New Year  your brain believes your intention, even if you may not.

You might even give it a go for the first few days of 2010 before losing interest and finding something else to focus on.  Please understand I am not raising a concern as to whether you quit the fags or start the gym – I am, however, raising the issue of embedding an expectation of failure in your mind.

If you start a diet every Monday, give up smoking every month or join that gorgeous swanky gym every new year and fail to see it through your mind will be getting programmed  ” I do not succeed in my intentions.”

You might say to me “Oh well, I have no will power” – I shall disagree without knowing you!  You get out of bed every morning, you brush your teeth, you start the car, you go to the supermarket…. you have plenty of things you do as a matter of habit.  The difference is your NYR has not yet been taken on board by you as a habit, a ritual you carry out automatically in your daily life, YET!

If you are serious about changing something in your life for 2010, there are articles and pages on my site for more ways you can re-enforce your success and achievement.  If you are not serious about your NYR think carefully about the HABIT  OF FAILURE you are creating for yourself…..   Why not relax and enjoy the Festive Season and think about your goals for 2010 and when you are ready to apply yourself wholeheartedly to your success and achievement, feel great about your resolve and planning?

Your mind will know that whatever you ask it to focus on and achieve IT DOES SO!
